How do I use this service?

Step 1

Step 2

After completing step 1, you will receive an email from the Travel Nurse instructing you to log in to the Deacon Health Student Portal to complete a confidential medical history questionnaire. The information you provide in this form allows us to create a travel medicine plan specific to your medical needs. It is essential to complete this form as soon as possible.

Step 3

After reviewing all the information, the Travel Nurse will schedule you for an in-person appointment to discuss vaccines and medications. Vaccines and prescriptions can be administered/ prescribed during this visit to complete your consultation.

Is there a fee for this service?

Yes, there is a $50 fee for all travel consultations. There are additional charges for vaccines and medications received at Deacon Health. If you have Student Blue insurance, any fees at Deacon Health may be covered under the plan. If you do not have Student Blue insurance, payments may be made during your visit (Deacon Health accepts cash or credit cards) or sent to your student account.
