Pharmacy

The Wake Forest Deacon Health Pharmacy services are provided by a licensed pharmacist.  The pharmacy staff follow all federal and North Carolina Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

• Our pharmacy accepts prescriptions from medical providers at Deacon Health, the local community, and nationwide. Please contact our pharmacy staff to see if your medication is on our current pharmacy formulary.
• Providers outside of Deacon Health can send prescriptions to our pharmacy electronically, by telephone, or the student can bring in a hard copy of the prescription.
• A variety of over-the-counter medications are available for purchase.
• Students with the Student Blue insurance plan from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina can receive prescriptions and over-the-counter medications at Deacon Health Pharmacy for no charge.
• Students with their own prescription insurance plans may request Deacon Health prescriptions be sent to outside pharmacies for direct insurance billing.
• Our pharmacy partners with Atrium Health Winston East Pharmacy for medications not included on the Deacon Health formulary. Winston East Pharmacy can bill most prescription insurance plans. For more information on this service please contact the Deacon Health Pharmacy.

During the fall and spring semesters, the pharmacy is open during regular clinic operating hours, Monday through Friday.
